Alderman Kirk Anderson was declared victor in the February 18th Primary Election. He won with 65% of the total vote.
According to the election judges, there was a total of 434 voters that cast ballots either at the polls or by absentee. Kirk Anderson, current Alderman for the 1st District, and mayoral candidate received 283 votes (65%). He will continue on to the April 7, 2020 Spring election.
The current Mayor received 125 votes (29%). He will be on the April 7th ballot.
The 3rd candidate, who no longer is eligible to run for mayor, received 26 votes (6%).
According to Alderman Anderson, the differences between the 2 candidates is obvious. “I want to move the city forward. I want to bring new businesses to the city, which means creating a business friendly environment. I want lower taxes. And I want the infrastructure repaired.”
On April 7th, plan to vote for Kirk Anderson for Mayor!
